During this complimentary 45-minute meeting, we will get to know each other, discuss your needs, and determine whether we are a good fit to work together.

  • Discovery

During this 90-minute meeting, we will focus on learning more about your values, concerns, goals, and vision. This allows us to understand your unique needs and objectives.

  • Get Organized

During this 60-minute meeting, we will review the financial information you’ve provided and assist in locating information to fill in gaps. We will also facilitate the process of linking your accounts to your secure client portal.

  • Explore

During this 60-minute meeting, we will look at your current financial situation together and explore the possibilities using our financial planning software, to fine-tune your goals and planning scenarios.

  • Plan Delivery

The financial plan and recommendations will be presented during this 90 to 120-minute meeting. We will focus on the “why” behind all our recommendations and discuss next steps to implement.

  • Implementation

During the few months following plan delivery, we will schedule meetings as needed to answer any questions you may have and provide support as you work to implement the financial planning recommendations.

Fees

Comprehensive Financial Planning

New clients begin with our 6-month comprehensive financial planning engagement, for a flat fee of $5,000. Half of the fee ($2,500) is due upon signing the financial planning agreement, which occurs between the Intro Meeting and the Discovery Meeting, and the other half ($2,500) is due upon delivery of the financial plan.

Generally, the Plan Delivery Meeting falls about halfway into the 6-month engagement, allowing about 3 months for implementation support. Our goal is that by the end of the 6 months, you will have the recommendations implemented and also have the skills, knowledge, and systems in place to feel confident managing your finances on an ongoing basis.

Additional Financial Planning

After completing the 6-month comprehensive financial planning engagement, you may come to a point where you could benefit from some additional support. Whether it has been a few months or many years since the initial engagement, we are here to help!

We encourage all former clients to reach out if they have any questions, if there has been a change to their financial situation, and before making any major financial decisions. If we’re able to provide a quick answer to the question, we’re happy to help at no charge! If additional work is needed, we will provide a proposal detailing the cost for a new engagement, based on the projected time to complete and our hourly rate.

Free Intro Meetings

We fully understand that not everyone can afford to work with a financial advisor. We also believe that everyone deserves financial security and financial success. One of the small ways we do our part is by having free intro meetings available to anyone who would like to chat. If you are actively looking for a financial advisor and our fees make sense for your situation, the Intro Meeting will be focused on getting to know each other, understanding your needs, and determining if we are a good fit to work together. If you are not looking to work with us right now, there are a few ways we can make the most of this time together:

  • Answering your questions about financial concepts, the financial planning industry, or anything else money-related.

  • Briefly review your financial situation and/or top money concerns. Although we can’t provide specific advice during this time, we may be able to provide some general guidance and/or point you in the direction of some resources that could help.

  • Discussing what it is financial advisors actually do, different ways advisors charge for their services, how to know when it might be time to hire an advisor, and how to go about finding an advisor who is a good fit for you.

  • And last but not least, just providing a confidential, non-judgmental space for you to talk about money!

I founded Curious Crow Financial Planning to be the type of financial planning firm I would want to work with.

  • Flat, transparent fees that allow you to pay for advice only when you need it

  • An education-focused approach, to help you learn how to manage your finances on your own, rather than delegating to someone else

  • A professional on your team who understands there is not a one-size-fits-all answer to financial planning
